What this module does
-
Multiple materials in the same part
Filament or resin, with the cost per gram of each. Multicolor parts include each material separately.
-
Energy and machine in the math
Print hours times power and the price per kWh, plus printer wear per hour of use.
-
A margin you actually keep
Taxes, card fees, and marketplace fees go in through the markup divisor. The margin you choose is what ends up in your pocket.
-
Retail and wholesale
Two separate margins and a minimum quantity for the wholesale price.
How it works
In three steps.
Enter the piece
Weight of each material and print time, just as the slicer shows them. It can be 4h30min, 4:30 or 270 (in minutes).
Check the math
The system adds up material, energy, wear, labor, extras and the failure reserve, and shows the real cost.
Create the order
With the price ready, turn the calculation into an order and a quote for the customer.
Why guessing the price loses you money
Charging by the gram or copying a competitor's price leaves out electricity, printer wear, your time, failed prints, and taxes. The sale happens, but the money disappears by the end of the month.
The pricing calculator shows the amount for each part of the cost. You see how much labor weighs on a small part and how much the machine weighs on a large one, and you set the price based on numbers.
The price math, no secrets
First comes the real cost: material + electricity + wear + labor + extras, plus the failure reserve. Then the price: cost ÷ (1 − taxes − fees − margin). That way, taxes and fees, which are charged on the price, are already covered.
Your account defaults (hourly rate, kWh price, taxes, fees, and margins) are saved. On the next quote, you just enter the piece.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Does the pricing calculator work for resin?
Yes. You add the resin with its cost per milliliter or per gram and enter how much the part uses. Isopropyl alcohol and other expenses go in as extras.
Can I price several products in one quote?
Yes. You add as many products as you want, each with its own materials, time, and quantity, and the system adds up the whole order.
What is the markup divisor?
It's a way to calculate the price by dividing the cost by (1 − taxes − fees − margin). It ensures that, after paying taxes and fees, you keep the margin you chose.
Can I try it before subscribing?
Yes. The calculator on the site is free with no sign-up, and the full system has a 7-day free trial, no card required.
